One of our Australian MiDatabank customers has become involved in a project to get unwanted drugs disposed of in a 'greener' way. Grace Wong, from the Footscray Hospital in Victoria, is the “Green Representative/Green Champion” in her pharmacy department. She leads their department’s Sustainability Action Plan, which has a list of actions and projects designed to reduce their environmental footprint. Outside of work, Grace also runs her own organisation, Pharmacists for the Environment Australia (PEA). For more information on Pharmacists for the Environment Australia, visit their Facebook page:

CoAcS recently sponsored and presented at the annual EAFP conference - this time held at the University of Parma, Italy. It ran between 16-18th May. The university in Parma is one of the oldest in the world, founded in the 10th century! Read more for a picture and further details.....

CoAcS have regularly sponsored the BPSA annual conference. We recognise the importance of the event because students are the lifeblood and future of the pharmacy profession. Our CAL packages, ePMRx and the websites are all useful resources to undergraduates (and beyond!) and we had the opportunity to speak about them to the attendees on the MedEx day yesterday. The presentation explained our background and pedigree in the educational arena. We also looked at the current offerings and where teaching is going. We thank all those who attended and then spoke to us on the stand after lunch. It was great to meet you all. Thanks too for the Easter egg!!

Short for Commercial and Academic Services, CoAcS is delighted to now be officially 25 years old. CoAcS was formed in 1992 by a group of businessmen and academics who were passionate about pharmacy and learning. This naturally translated into the provision of pharmacy software for education and healthcare purposes.
